When I visited Hamburg a few months ago I had a look at these amazing boat houses. Most of them for accommodation but some were architects offices (note to self!). They're situated close to the city centre on the Eibek-canal, but the entrances are permanent. It seems it's not so much about the need to move your home, but about the scenery you surround yourself with. Certainly the homes get a very special expression with the restrictions and possibilities of the site. Which one is your favourite?

| I think its hilarious how all the houses try to reinterpet the idea of home and boat, but the guy on the end just made his own spaceship looking box! 'Id love to hear how the other boat houses talk about the new guy:) |
